Who Am I?
Starting from a young age I was very ambitious in getting good grades, going to a prestigious university to gain my MBA, mainly for the sake to land a “successful career” and to climb up the corporate ladder in a multinational corporation. Thinking that I would be set for life and that it would be the right path to success and happiness. Everything seemed to be amazing, business travels to exotic places, having fancy dinners, staying in 5 stars hotels, and earning a decent living. But I had realized over time that I had sort of “ fallen into” my roles and even though I was a high-achiever on paper, I just didn’t love it, felt uninspired and found little meaning and purpose in my type of work. I soon began to feel stuck, disengaged and disconnected to my job and in becoming drained, frustrated and unhappy. At the end I was spending my days counting down the clock and frequently thinking “ Is this it? Is this all there is? There must be more to my working life than just sitting here and not actually making an impact”.
I was held by fear and anxiety though to immediately quit my job until I reached a final point where I just couldn’t take it anymore. I started to deeply explore and reflect on what I did love, and to get more curious about my passion, purpose and interest. As I further peeled the onion of preconceived notions and social expectation I held about my career and life over the next couple of years, everything changed for me. In discovering coaching I truly have found all these rewarding and fulfilling experiences that fed my soul and heart and a deeper connection to my purpose, that I was unable to find in the type of work in my corporate career.
I have met some incredible teachers and guides along the way and have discovered the tools, practices, books, the new ways of thinking and the inner belief that have brought me to where I am.
Today, I am very passionate to work with corporate professionals who are stuck in their own careers and looking for their true purpose and meaning and to empower them to live life according to their own core values to seek greater gratification, fulfilment and happiness in their careers and lives, as they deserve it.
Pin Cher holds a B.S in International Management & Business Chinese from the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, Germany, and an MBA from the University of Taiwan and is a trained and professional Jay Shetty Certified Personal Development & Career Coach and a member of the Association for Coaching.
Pin has over 10 years’ of international work experience working in sales and project management for global multinational companies in Germany, Shanghai, Taiwan and Hong Kong, where she is currently based at.
